chasing the winter blues..........and giveaway

In this part of the country we are ready to chase the winter blues away. What better way to do that

  39. I am a follower and live in the US. I had just put an afghan in a box to give as a gift and when I returned to the room, there was my cat lying right in the box. luckily the recipient has cats too!. I love how they always find something to lie on.

    1. oh yes. laundry, quilt squares on the floor, afghan, quilt at bottom of bed. it is all fair game to claim.in my blog you will see Phoebes quilt that she claimed years ago. it was SUPPOSED to go to the nursing home with the other lap quilts. she insisted it was hers.and I had to oblige.

  48. I am a new follower (with GFC) of your blog. It is always wonderful to find another quilter who has fur babies too -- and Phoebe and Dunkin are so sweet looking! I am located in northern Florida. We have 2 inside cats, and outside we have a "stray" cat who we had altered and got all of her shots for, and placed her in a new forever home. After 2 weeks, her new owners let her out and she vanished! Six days later, after walking blocks and blocks and crossing a major highway, she came staggering up the sidewalk of our apartment complex, meowing and letting me know that she was hungry and tired and HOME. We were so relieved! In the winter we have a stuffed snowman on our patio table, and we put a folded up quilt on the snowman's lap, with a heating pad concealed in the middle, and she sleeps on the snowman's laps when it is very cold.
