dresdan fever and Happy Columbus Day or Thanksgiving day in Canada

a dresdan UFO that I will work on hand quilting this winter...........I LOVE this quilt and want to GET ER DONE

a dresdan that I have since finished..........It is in the box....

dresdan UFO that was started in baby colors............I think I have 6 of them....

blue dresdans of scraps to play with..........

don't you just love dresdans?  I have seen other dresdan patterns that are pretty too. I LOVE the ones with pointed ends. this one is a pattern from a book .I think her name is Wendy Gilbert?  anywho, I love making these because they are fun to do and dresdans are such an old fashioned pattern. (kind of like me....at least the OLD part!)

does this inspire you to play this winter with some of them?
what have you got to lose. we may even learn a thing or two with different techniques or see how someone else's ideas unfold..........
fun I tell ya!
I cant wait..........already have some ideas floating around in this head of mine.........

mount dresdan on toile?  then mount on point? ( I need practice doing this)
incorporate other colors but make it balance..........
make borders that bring in the other borders so you almost cant tell where the border is........
use techniques like broidery perse that I have not done...........

fun fun.........and then end up with a quilt JUST FOR ME!

you in?
