more fun finds

that little bag of scraps is yielding a ton of fun
these 3 x 5 rectangles came out of some offcut triangle shapes that I stitched together
and trimmed up
I think I have 4 of them
may have to make another doll quilt
one for "everyday"
for my friends granddaughter
we will see what they will become

remember this? a seemingly small bag of scraps......
well let me tell you
it is like adding water and watching it grow and grow!

these were in there.........

strips were in there to play with..........

yielded this little sweetie
(already gifted to my friend for her granddaughter)

and more fun sewing to be used

two of these were cut, this one almost done..........

this beauty was a 5 minute little project
candle mat? pretty potholder?
start of a pretty quilt?
you name it, this was easy to do
Once I cut one "kite" shape, I then stacked and
made a quick job of cutting the other 7
the hardest part of the stitching here was keeping the oranges in the
right order so they wouldnt be near each other

and some will even find their way into the relaxing robin
hows THAT for using up scraps?
I am thinking I like my scraps better than my yardage
these days
anyone else feel that way? am I nuts?
(DON"T ANSWER THAT!)

  2. Isn't it amazing how many blocks can be born from a few scraps? Then I look at my stash and think-ohmygosh (LOL) and why am i buying more fabric?? Kinda like mountain climbing--cause it's there??? hugs, Julierose
