zippy bag help

in case some of you want to experiment with your own scraps and make some zippy bags
I have included a link below that I use. You can make the bag in strips like she has or if the same size
can make like I did using what I had. (I just made sure it was as wide as the zipper I used)
this makes an adorable little lined bag. and zippers are not as intimidating as you think!

Just remember THREE things........

  1. keep the needle away from the zipper teeth so you dont break a needle........
  2. unzip the bag when you sew up the sides so you can have a way to turn it right side out.
  3. breathe............yep  you will be wondering why you avoided zippers for so long

so with no further adieu, I present to you zippy bag directions with lots of pictures. sew delicious did such a fabulous job with this tutorial I could not see me redoing it.
go on..........
                                 check it out for yourself.................

you KNOW you want to make one..........
HEY IF I CAN DO IT, ANYBODY CAN...............
REALLY!

  3. Thanks for the link, I will check it out tomorrow when I am not so sleepy (it's 10:45pm and I went to bed at 2am last night)! Have you seen Jenny Doan's YouTube video on zipper pouches -- she's the only one I know who puts in little tabs and it looks really cool!
