what to do on a Sunday morning........

I made this little mini quilt
yeah I dont have enough UFOs to work on, right?
that little 9 patch I made out of 1 inch squares
was calling me
I said to myself do I want a fridge magnet?
nah........what else can I do with this
little sweetie

yeah you remember him, right? this one

I was going to make some teeny tiny magnets
and decided nah......I would have to go buy
some magnet strips etc
so decided instead to make more little 9 patches
I was originally going to make 9 of them
and put them together 3 x 3 with sashing

but.........
I "gotthe call"
you know the one..........
Dawnie...........we want you to do this............
yeah so I answered
I should have hung up! LOL
But I grabbed the tiny squares and made 5  9patches
then said NOW WHAT?

and the voice said to take my 3 1/2 inch squares and cut into 4 triangles corner to corner
so I did
then I sewed them on the 4 sides
making the 9 patch on point
(and yeah, speaking of points, I dont want to hear that they dont match up!)
these little babies are 1 1/2 inches for the 9 patch part
and I cut them to 2 3/4 once the triangles were added
SO THEY ARE TINY!

but I didnt cut off too many LOL
so I guess that is a good thing
I combined them with a cheddar
and a purple
for the month of March

purple and yellow........
hmmmm
soscrappy would be proud.........
now to layer and handquilt this baby
I think I know what I am going to do with it........
go and see what others are doing with purple and yellow at
