a hard choice

after Christmas I want to make myself a little lap quilt
you know to snuggle in
while resting on the couch
with the kitties
and conversing with hubs
(OK OK so you got me........asking hubs nicely to change the channel.....
WHAT?  ok Begging him to change the channel.......
Can you see in my windows? OK WRESTLING HIM TO THE GROUND AND TAKING THE REMOTE TO SEE IF THERE IS ANYTHING ON TV THAT I MAY WANT TO WATCH)
so there ..........
you have it
the truth about life at the homestead
LOL
anyway, back to the lovely vision of me and my quilt
and the kitties all snuggled and comfy

this quilt needs to be hand quilted. it is destined to be mine.........
that was the gameplan when I pieced it
oh about ten or so years ago.......
WHAT?  yeah I am trying to figure out what
"quilt as desired" means ok?
what's it to ya?

kidding aside, I really need to tackle the UFO pile
some things like this just need the last parts
done
and I could use a nice slow quilting project to keep
these hands out of the cookie jar

I love this one too. made with a friend at one of those one day sewathon type get togethers.
it was at an old farm nearby
and we paid like 15 dollars or so
brought our machines and they gave us ahead of time
the pattern to have cut and ready
if I remember right it was strips
and we even traded scraps with each other
what  a fun little quilt and I even put the extra
blocks in the borders as I didnt want to part with them

truly a scrappy quilt  my kind  of quilt for sure

if you had to chose one (and I am keeping all three for ME just sayin)
which one would you choose and why?

  1. I keep most of my quilts. I do donate a few to charity though.

  2. I would take the dresden in a heart beat. My DH tries to claim myour quilts, but they fly out the door soon after he christens them by sleeping under them for a night or two.

  4. I would definitely keep the Dresden plate. That's one of my favorite quilt patterns. Perfect to cuddle on the couch with the kitties!
