ever have bits and parts?

these two 16 patches are left over from my sewing
and the HST was a cast off of something else
the little two strip patches I would love to make into
a rail fence

am wondering if I should reevaluate my blocks
and put some into a "kitchen sink" quilt
you know, everything goes in them

I like the 16 patches to become a rainbow kind of quilt
with saturated color squares
I may play with oranges and greens and reds
and see how I like it

so much to sew
so little time............LOL

linking up with Beth of lovelaughquilt

what are you making with your scraps?

  2. I have a drawer full of leftovers--orts, bits and bobs!! I really don't know what to do with them--maybe some place mats, napkins? I like the idea of sewing them higgeldey-piggeldy together--but the colors are just too much for me to figure out right now. Am playing Mrs, Nursie today--Thom gets his 2nd eye op this afternoon. At least there is no snow to contend with--;))))hugs, Julierose

  3. Kitchen Sink quilts are AWESOME!! Save those bits, add to them, and create with abandon.

  4. I have so many bits and bobs that it takes the whole end of my sewing table but if I put them up I will never finish them

  5. Many quilt bloggers are working on spare parts and orphan blocks quilts these days. They're a fun personal design challenge.
