I finally figured it out after 50 years LOL

talk about a sllllllllllllow learner right?

after about 50 years I FINALLY
figured out that
I dont need to buy yardage of fabric
just little bits and bobs make me happy
I took a bunch of my 2 1/2 green squares
and cut them 1 1/2 wide. sewed them
into 2, 3, 4 and 5 strips
then ironed and trimmed the strip to 1 1/2
paired it with 1 1/2 strips of white
and voila~
a quick
adorable
little
tree

what shall I do?

put some on the farm?
make some mugrugs?
potholders?

who knows but as you can see
from the photo at top
I already have two more of the tree
portions ready to go

hee hee
just gotta cut the backgrounds
may make them scrappy too

thought of nieces
how about a purple Christmas tree mugrug?
hmmmm
I may be filling the gift box with some of these cute babies

and
just
for
the record.............

I AM working on the deer quilt
I have all the windows done and now need to cut my
black sashing and join the rows to make the center

yes miracles DO happen, right? LOL
maybe I just needed
a "walk in the woods" to clear my head
