scarf details

remember those .69 cent tees I bought a few weeks ago?
well I took one of them
cut it open to make it flat
and cut out nine 7inch squares
then I laid them out and overlaped the points like this

see how the points almost met in the middle?
then I pinned them
took them to the machine
and sewed one long seam down the center

I was using a size 2x shirt
and I still have the whole back and sleeves to use!

and this is how it came out!

I am so pleased.
and it was easy peasy! really.
I kid you not!

I think there will be more of these in my future.
I bought yellow, pink, brown and orange tees
AND I have enough to do ANOTHER scarf
TWO for .69 cents!

Do you think I am frugal????

I think if you had one of those fancy schmancy machines with those
fancy stitches this would be a great place to play with them
I may do a second row of stitching to make it more sturdy

just sayin

and with the nine of them my scarf was about 48 inches long
not too bad as you can see by the picture

I may try one with smaller squares to get more points like the one in the picture
have you played with it?
