a future zip bag?

these little pretties were strips I had
from some pretty charms

I color coordinated them
and made two pieces
5 strips wide each (2 1/2 x 5 strips)

I am thinking I will now find a pink
or red strip for tops and bottoms

and turn this into a zippy bag

for those of you who have not made any before
check out the internet there are tons of tutorials
once you make one it is like potato chips

you cant stop
you want to see every inch of your stash made into them
I kid you not!

but as those of you who follow me know, I have a Christmas box
in my sewing room
whats that you ask?  well it is a rubbermaid tote
that when I complete little projects I put them in there
for Christmas gifts
In the past the box has seen crayon rolls for the grands
pillowcases, chapstick keychains, kleenex holders
purses,wallets, dishcloths (knit)
scarves and all sorts of things

makes the holidays a little less stressful
I usually have little stocking stuffer things
or gifts for the paperperson
or teachers
or hairdresser
or nice neighbor
you get the idea. right now I have 10 centerpieces for my sis in law
and 3 Christmas centerpieces just because
fun fun..........
my friend and I want to make some zip bags Friday
so it should be fun.......
more for the box  YAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soooo organised! I am always scratching for gifts at the last minute. LOL (and I don't think I'm the only one).

Oh I love your pinks. Maybe making some zippy bags is a great idea for Christmas. Or maybe like Barb and her one hour baskets.

I've played with this fabric line in the past (jelly roll quilt) and there are probably some scraps in my barrels. Filling that Christmas box thru the year is a super idea.

Cute fabric choices--that will be a gorgeous zippy bag. If i did zippers, I'dmake one, but did a drawstring one for my knitting to avoid my whole zipper issue....hugs, Julierose
