what a difference a day makes

last year I was trying to work on joining up some UFO blocks
to make something with them
these still sit in a box

this tree was gorgeous last year and this year too only
I had to really trim it back
the snow this winter did a number on it
the whole back has a hole where the branches snapped
from the weight of it all
hope it comes back- I never trimmed these before

see that red maple? well I put a little bird feeder in there
and man those birds love it!
As I do the dishes I can see the Cardinal family
the squirrel
mourning dove family
and others all waiting their turn for some seed
they are so cute as they look up toward me
wondering if they saw something move or not

this guy I cut back every year
and every year I hope it comes back as it takes a while

then low and behold........
it is gorgeous
and full and full of flowers and butterflies

I love it!  I would love to add to this area of the yard
and have my brother make me a butterfly house

and lookie!  this one will be dinner soon

Gorgeous flowers. I learned that as the butterfly bush flowers die if you trim them off the bush will continue to bloom.
