is it Thanksgiving or Easter?

if you look close in the center of the picture you will see
the turkeys
there was a group of 20 of them this weekend
just parading up the street and into my yard and out into the woods
I ran to get the camera but had to take these through the
bathroom window
so as not to spook them

if you enlarge you may see them better
my 5 year old great nephew was so funny-
I talked to him on the phone and told him about the
turkeys in my yard. he likes to shoot his
slingshot with hickory nuts into the woods in back
so he says to me "Auntie were they boys or girls?"
I said I didnt know but there were a lot of them
he says "did they have a beard? if they did
they were boys"
he is so darned funny
he is right- the boys have beards on the turkeys

his grandmother who he calls Mimi has a cold
and was complaining she couldnt breathe.
he says to her "did you blow your nose"?
she says yes I blew my nose
he goes "Mimi, then you must have a booger stuck up there"
she said she thought she was going to wet herself.
he is so darned quick too!

anywho, I am confused as these turkeys
is it Thanksgiving?
or Easter? LOL

I love your turkeys. See he know what he is talking about. Little ones say the best things.

The turkeys are not confused. Come out at Thanksgivings and they might become dinner. Easter is safer b/c it is the rabbits time to hide. LOL

Oh isn't it funny to watch the turkeys--(I mean the animal ones, not the ones we see EVERYDAY on the tube lol)--once in a while a few will parade through our yard...hugs, Julierose
