after the first snow

these were taken after the first snow
I wanted to make sure all was ok in the gardens
the flowers heads were bowed as if praying
that the cold would stop

these guys lifted their faces up to find the sunshine

I had to get under these to show how pretty they look
last year I thought I had seperated the bulbs

but they look like they like to hang out in groups
cant say as I blame them
friends are the best!

this sedum is growing well since I chopped down
the wintery stick like remains of last years
this is the Autumn Joy sedum that turns pink in Fall
it is so easy to grow and so pretty

more pansies saying Hi
"Hi Gram!"

and these guys I had pulled up not realizing
what they were
they look like grassy clumps
so I tried to replant some here and there
hoping they too multiply

Dunkin decided to stay in and admire
the birds through the new windows
he was chirping up a storm
either trying to talk to them
or warm them that he is a mean machine
that will have them for dinner

Your garden doesn't look the worse for wear with the cold weather. I think that us humans are not quite as resilient with warm, cold, warm, cold.

You are going to have such pretty color combos going--my daffodils are bowed down, that it's raining "cats and dogs" I bet they'll just lie down!! hugs, Julierose

Your garden looks so nice and it's so early in the season! Hope our flowers look half as good!
