reminiscing a little

this guy is on my table and I love looking at it every day
I am a "blue" gal
even when my Mom was alive (pre 1989) she
would tell me to "wear red"
or that I had too much blue and brown in my wardrobe
blue has always been my favorite color
to me it is calming
and a safe color
it stands for loyalty
and from baby blue all soft and cuddly
to navy blue loyal and true
and all shades in between
they make me happy

when I look out my dining room window
this is the view
"Mom" is sayin HI from Heaven
these were her favorite flower
and they were here when I moved here
every year they put on a great show as you can see
they are loaded with blooms and so so pretty

Aug 12th would have been my Moms 83rd birthday
she passed when she was 55
My brother was born on her birthday
as was his daughter, my Moms first grandchild
My Mom had already gone to Heaven
so never got to see any of her grandchildren
so it is a bittersweet day for me
missing Mom  and wishing brother and
niece a Happy Birthday

here they are doing what they love
hunting, fishing and loving every day

Happy Birthday guys!

Wow 55 that is so young by todays standards. I remember the guys I used to work with their father's died young one was 45 and one was 50. When they hit those age milestones it was a really big time of contemplation for them.

Oh yes, 55 is way too young. I hope your happy memories fill you with warmth's so hard to let Dad's b-day was Aug 19th and Mom's Aug 24th--so August will always be a month of remembering--but..Willa's is August that perks me up..and life moves ever on...hugs, Julierose
