a little progress on my tumblers

hey Babs! check out the size of these tumblers!
ha ha
they are 2 1/2 inches and I have quite a few
sewn up in rows
what I didnt realize is that the rows
start the opposite way and I sewed them all the same
so I can either make new rows
or take one off each row and attach it to the other side
well I need a lot more anyway so will just sew up
some of the right kind of rows
this is one of those mindless projects
when I just want to sit and sew
I grab the tumblers and sew 2x2
then 4x4
the 8  then 16 then 32
these rows are 32 tumblers wide
and I think it will be a good size leaving me room
for a wide border

and I love little surprises like the lucky ladybugs
not much can peek out from tumblers this small
so it is kind of like an eye spy to see what I can find
(doesnt take much to amuse me you know)

here is my container of rows that are done
on a day when I want to play I will add them to the top already
done and see how far I can get
I may need to but more tumblers
but may not need to either
will have to lay them out and see
are you tumbling?

I cut tumblers from scraps and have a bin I work out of for leaders and enders.

Love the tumblers. I look forward to finishing my UFOs so that I can make another tumbler quilt.

I quit working on four or five quilts at the same time, swore I was not starting any thing else but then told my steps daughters I would make them a smaller Casserole Cartier so now I have three of those done! I am a lost cause!
