view from my door

this is the view from my front door
I turned over my barrel so I can
fill it with soil and some crawling plants
I also have a thermometer to
see what the temp is
and my hummer station
with the feeder and hanging plant to draw them

I also have my two mosquito plants
one on each side of the steps
dont mind the concrete
this was just minutes after a
torrential downpour

this little elephant I will paint
a more gray color
and then repaint the flowers on

it is for my memory garden to represent my Aunt Jo
who LOVED elephants
last count she had I think 600 of them
and I asked for ONE when she passed.
no go so I got my own to go in my garden
she will be surrounded with pretty flowers
and I will think of her each time I look at my garden

how does your garden look?

Love that hummer station with those pretty red flowers...
My poor garden looks pretty bad as those durn chipmunks ate all the flowers--but at least it's green with the rain we've had...and the shrubs are coming well...too hot to be out though today--hot and humid!! But my grandgirls stopped by for an hour to play cards with us...what fun...hugs, Julierose

What a sweet plan for the elephant. I love the look of crawling plants from a pot and your barrel will be awesome.
