paying it forward

my niece needed help making 5 of these
so I helped her one night and
we did them in less than half an hour
the hard part was letting the paint dry
and leaving them out of the way of the cats
until the glue dried

she said to me "Auntie-give me your box of yarn
and those large needles
and I will help you make the afghans"

I said are you sure?
she goes You helped me with my list
so now I will help you with  yours
I am done with mine
they should whip up in an hour or so and I
am not doing anything for the next two weekends
isnt she sweet?
LOVE that girl!

in the meantime
I will work on finishing this one
I am halfway done
so maybe an hour a night before bed
will do it

this is one lil helper
and her contribution to the holiday
tasks at hand

and the other one
hides when work is to be done.

Today I am thankful for a beautiful niece
with a heart of gold to help me
finish up my Christmas gifts

You are blessed to have a niece who likes to craft! Mine does not but maybe someday!

So cool you had a helper. And Dunkin and Phoebe are helping. By staying out of the way.
